If you already have a license of DBU (current version) on your system, you can use the DBUPTF command. DBUPTF is only available to update to the latest release of the current version. You can determine the release date of the DBU software by executing the following….
The date contained in this Data Area is the release date of the DBU software. If you do not have the current DBU library in your library list you will need to prompt the command.
We recommend to download the latest release of DBU at least monthly. This way you always have the latest fixes/enhancements. For more instructions, please visit our DBUPTF web page.
Be sure no one is currently using DBU when running DBUPTF. Also, if your system is an LPAR system, DBUPTF should be used consecutively on each partition rather than using DBUPTF on all partitions at once.
You may also download the latest release of DBU from our download page.
If a new VERSION of DBU has been released since your last update (for example if you have DBU 9.0, but DBU 10.0 has since come out), you can download the newest version from our download page.
DBUPTF can NOT be used to update to the latest version of DBU.
Note: Be sure no one is currently using DBU when updating. Before installing - run the command: WRKOBJLCK OBJ(DBU10/DBUUSERS) OBJTYPE(*FILE).
